Grey9 Art Society · Artist information
Terms of Entry
These terms explain how Grey9 open calls, selection, and online exhibition participation work.
Effective August 21, 2026Acceptance of these terms
By submitting artwork to a Grey9 Art Society open call, you agree to these Terms of Entry and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not submit an entry.
Eligibility
Grey9 open calls are available to visual artists worldwide unless a specific call states otherwise. Entrants must be legally able to agree to these terms. Artists under the age of legal majority in their location must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Submission requirements
You may submit up to three original artworks per open call. Each entry must include accurate artist and artwork information. Submitted images should be clear, properly oriented, and free of unrelated watermarks or promotional graphics.
Originality and authority
You confirm that you created the submitted work, own the necessary rights, and have permission for any recognizable people, private property, trademarks, or third-party material appearing in the work. Submissions must not infringe another person's copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Free entry and selected-artist fee
There is no fee to submit. If selected, you may choose whether to participate in the online exhibition. Artists who accept pay a one-time $25 exhibition fee. Payment confirms participation and is non-refundable once submitted, except if Grey9 cancels the exhibition or a refund is required by law.
Review and selection
Grey9 reviews eligible submissions according to curatorial judgment, originality, presentation, and the needs of each exhibition. Selection is not guaranteed. Curatorial decisions are final, and Grey9 is not required to provide individual feedback.
Copyright and permission to display
You retain copyright in your artwork. By entering, you grant Grey9 a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce submitted images and supplied artist information for review, administration, exhibition, archive, editorial coverage, and promotion of Grey9 and the relevant open call. Grey9 will provide artist credit where reasonably practical.
Online exhibition and archive
Selected work may appear on Grey9 websites, email communications, and social channels. Online exhibitions may remain publicly available as part of a permanent archive. Grey9 may resize, crop, or format images as reasonably needed for digital presentation while respecting the integrity of the work.
Content standards
Grey9 may reject or remove material that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, hateful, exploitative, intentionally deceptive, or otherwise unsuitable for the exhibition or platform. Artistic merit does not require Grey9 to publish content that creates legal, safety, or platform risks.
Artist information and communication
You are responsible for providing a working email address and accurate information. Grey9 may contact you about your entry, selection, exhibition preparation, certificate, or related administrative matters. Please notify us promptly if your information changes.
Withdrawal and changes
You may request withdrawal before an exhibition is published by contacting Grey9. Once an exhibition is live, removal may not be immediate and previously published promotional material may remain in circulation. Grey9 may adjust dates, presentation details, or cancel an open call or exhibition when reasonably necessary.
No guarantee of results
Participation does not guarantee sales, representation, awards, press coverage, audience size, future selection, or any specific professional outcome. Grey9 is not responsible for third-party copying, sharing, or misuse of images displayed publicly online.
Privacy
Personal information submitted with an entry is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Please do not include sensitive personal information that is not requested by the entry form.
